How do you choose a practitioner? |
| DACAP Home Page Why seek help? How to choose Workshops Accessibility Site Map |
You can contact our members individually via this web site, using the telephone numbers or email addresses which appear in each DACAP member's details. We would encourage you to contact several DACAP members to find out who you feel might be right for you. You might for example want to choose someone who practices near your home or place of work. Cost may also be a consideration. You can if you wish print out individual members' details or the entire on-line membership's listings, or if you prefer, you can ask for a paper membership directory, which is available from the enquiry line (number at the bottom of this page). Whoever you contact will probably suggest an initial meeting. Together you will decide whether counselling or psychotherapy is for you, and whether you have contacted the right person. If you decide to go ahead you will also discuss how often to meet and the costs involved. |
